Support our Global Learners
In this extraordinary time, we're committed to ensuring our students and their families are healthy, safe, and have the tools and materials they need to get the excellent education they deserve and expect from GCCS.
GCCS staff and students, despite the pandemic, are committed to keeping an emphasis on maintaining strong teaching and learning. 92% of our families are attending their classes every day, creating custom learning plans for students who need additional help or options to attend certain classes at different times based on personal needs.
Supporting the whole-child - Our student support team ensures students’ social-emotional needs are prioritized as much as their academic needs; one on one sessions with our counselors take place every day, our deans make sure fresh, healthy food is delivered weekly, check in with families to provide other essential items as needed.
Bridging the Digital Divide - we’ve provided hundreds of chromebooks and WiFi hotspots to families to make sure technology is not a barrier to fully participating in remote learning.
Supporting the broader community - working with our food partner, Red Rabbit, we’re feeding GCCS families via home delivery of meals, and supporting local pantries and community partners - more than 30,000 meals have been delivered since the pandemic started in March of 2020.
Our work continues - The needs of our community are great as we battle a pandemic and economic instability.
Please join us in Connecting Our Kids to the supports they need to thrive!
