Admissions

Is there an application fee?

No! You can fill out our free online application and apply today!

What age do you have to be to start Kindergarten?

2018-2019 Academic Year: If your child was born in 2013, you can apply to Kindergarten at GCCS.

Can I fill out one application for all of my children?

No, each child needs a separate application.

How do you determine admission?

Students are selected by a random lottery drawing. Preference is given to students who reside in School District 5, whose siblings already attend GCCS, and children of full-time GCCS staff. Students who are not selected in the lottery drawing should not be discouraged; their names will be placed on a waiting list and may be selected as seats become available.

Does it cost anything to attend GCCS?

GCCS is a tuition-free public school. There is no application fee to apply and no tuition is required to attend.

Student Support Services

Do you have Special Education Services?

Yes.  All special education needs are reviewed in a case by case basis. GCCS implements an ICT (Integrated co-teaching) model in which one or both of each of your student’s teachers will have SWD (Students with Disabilities) certification and provide SWD services within the classroom. Additionally, Speech and Occupational Therapy services are available.

If my child is an English Language Learner are they allowed to apply?

Of course! GCCS provides support services for ELL (English Language Learner) and ESL (English as a Second Language) students. Additionally, many of our teachers are bilingual, and spanish language is part of our curriculum.
